Haley's B-Day

Well,
Unfortunately we missed another one of Haley's birthdays. Here are some of the Rowe family's favorite Haley pictures. Please keep in mind, we've been away for three years now. We took some pics when the Valanzuela Family came to Ponca City but who could turn down this Punam?!

Haley and Dave

Hmmm.....Haley and Dave again.....

My favorite Bestfriend's Daughter

And finally, Haley's claim to fame.

Haley actually danced the entire time to NO music.

I added in the music with the film.

Can't wait to see Haley's next big debut.

We love and miss you Haley.

Happy Birthday from Uncle Andy, Aunt Tara, Dave and Cassie.

AllStars & Defensive Player Of The Year

This afternoon we had Dave's football team party. The last time the entire Green team would meet. Four of our kids made it to the AllStar Team including David.

After team participation trophies were handed out, special awards took center stage. Dave easily took top honors with the Defensive Player Of The Year. The following video is the coach saying a few words about Dave's stealer season.

I cannot put into words how proud I am of David. He's a great kid, doing well in school, there's no harder worker on the football field in practice or in games and he's already a gentleman. Only a fool would ask for more from his son.

Gold Team - Last regular game of the season

Last regular game of the season and Dave's team takes home the win and clinches 3rd place! Very Exciting! This coming weekend the Green team plays in the playoffs trying to extend their season a few weeks until the Superbowl. Dave had a Tachychardia attack and unfortunately was unable to play most of the 1st half. This made the coaches extremely nervous due to David's defensive abilities. As soon as Dave left the field, the opposing team marched 70 yards down the field for a touch down. Yikes!

During second quarter and halftime, Doctor Mom was able to work her magic and bring Dave's heart rate down from 150 to a calm 70 beats per minute. Dave went back out, took it nice and easy, played defense only in the 3rd and added offense in the 4th. I didn't take anymore video's ensuring my focus was solely on David constantly monitoring his heart rate and demeaner. Dave played like a champ the rest of the game acting as if nthing was ever wrong and carried his team to a much needed victory to break the three way tie for 3rd! Dave had some real nice tackles including this quarterback sack in the fourth quarter.

We couldn't be more proud!

Red team loss

Well, you can't win them all! Another great showing for Dave with some good tackles and two more TD saving rundowns. Unfortunately, I can only show you one because it's a bit hard to keep the camera still when your jumping up and down!

Enjoy!

3rd of six tackles for the day.

Dave comes from the opposite side of the line and runs by 6 teamates to make the Tackle.

Rainy days of Fall

Recently Dave's team has had some troubles with less then reliable teamates not attending practices. When we arrived yesterday, flood warnings were in effect for our area and 2 inches of rain had been announced for our immediate future. Although rain may frighten Baseball and Soccer players, it gives our boys a reason to acutally bath themselves two days in a row!

I thought it apropos to snap a team picture with the kids who carry this team.

Dave and Kyle after a good practice.

A ball carrier narrowly "slipping" by a missed tackle from Dave. (lucky for him)

Orange loss

Unfortunately Dave's team suffered their 2nd loss today. Dave played very well and had some huge plays including the following three.

This Lineman was getting through wreaking havoc on our offence, so Dave was told to take him out. Needless to say, he wasn't much trouble after that.

Dave breaks through for his 3rd tackle of the game.

Scrimmage game 9-1-11

Dave was chosen 1st in the draft again! He's doing great and has already been added to the allstar team! Yes...before the league has begun! In both of these video's, Daves all in black.

This 1st video is Dave running over a Runningback that's trying to block him.

The second video is Dave making a HUGE Hit! Again, Dave in all Black.... The Grim Reaper......

New Home

Long time no Blog.

Heres a pic of our new home in Painted Post, New York. We border the city of Corning (Corning Glass) North of the PA border about 15 minutes. We've got Niagra Falls 3 hours to the Northwest and New York city 3 1/2 hours to our East. So far all is well in upstate NY. It's been warm but not too bad. Once again we'll see how the family likes the snow.....because it's coming. It hasn't been nearly as hot as Ponca and it doesn't get quite as cold in the winter but there is more snow and it's longer. Cassie is a hostess at one of the nicest steak houses in Corning called the Gaffer. She applied at Corning Community College (yes applied). Dave will be attending West Middle school and gets signed up for football this coming Friday.

David and Tara in Niagra falls. Almost as tall however, mom still rules that boy!

Three of us with a self picture. Behind us, way below are the walkways beneath the falls. We actually went to Buffalo for lunch at the Anchor bar, home of the original "Buffalo Wings" and decided to make a run over to Niagra. Cassie was working that day so we thought we'd just check out the falls but leave the cool stuff like Maid of the Mist and the walk beneath the falls for when we bring Cass back up.
This is a self pic of the four of us at Watkins Glen.

Picture in Watkins Glen

This is the boat Cassie stayed on during our 4th of July trip to Maryland. The boat is owned by Stephanie Andrews, an Engineer that works for me. She and her mother were nice enough to invite us down for 3 days. Cassie stayed with Steph and her Mom on the boat while Dave Tara and Myself stayed in a vacation rental not far from the marina. We had a great time!

The owner of the boat (Stephanie) on the right, Cassie in the middle and Cassie's friend Chelsey on the left. Needless to say, there was no shortage of guys around the boat.

Tornado in Poca City

A Tornado hit Ponca last night! Tara said they had bad hail and winds yesterday. It hit on the west side of town about 4 miles away from the house. I spoke to some friends who've lived in Ponca for 30 plus years and this is the 1syt time they've actually KNOWN they had a tornado in town. It was a 1/2 a mile north of the refinery. Tara took this video this morning.

Reporting live from a Devestated Ponca City!

Hello from Upstate New York

Well,
In this case actually from Niagara Falls. I took some time off Saturday to run up to Niagara Falls. I stayed on the American side because I didn't have my passport. It's a bit too early in the season for Maid of the Mist rides, as you can see, large icebergs have formed directly infront of the falls. The tour guide explained that during the colder parts of winter, sheets of ice form across the whole park. I must say though...I thought they'd be bigger.

One of the 7 natuaral wonders of the world.... I don't know about that.....Top 15 maybe....

They obviously haven't seen some of the sandwhiches in Philidelphia!

Now those are freakin world wonders!

February Snow 2011!

Today is Wednesday Feb 9th. We got 15 inches of snow last night and this morning. Needless to say, after dropping Tara off at work, I couldn't make it back up our hill so I had to walk a quarter mile, uphill (one way) in the snow storm. Brrrr.

Don't cry for me Oklahoma!

As you all know, this family doesn't stay in one place for very long. I've been offered Field Operations Manager in West Chester Pennsylvania with my old company Stantec. I've accepted the position and I will be moving there the 29th of Jan. Tara and the kids will follow once the children are out of school and the lease is up on our current residence. We are going to miss Ponca. We've all grown very fond of this community and even the kids are a bit upset about leaving. Unfortunately, the company I hired on with when Stantec left, doesn't have the paths necessary for me to develop a satisfying career. When Stantec offered me this position, it rekindled the love I had for a job once. As usual, I have to the support of my beautiful wife and most of the kids....So...off we go! Here's a refresher of some of the friends we've made here in Ponca.

Dave's Girlfriend

Dave's girlfriend Madison stopped by with four of her friends....all girls. Needless to say, Dave was quite popular for about a half an hour. As I worked up in my office, all could hear was the giggling from a gaggle of girls! Then Daves prepubecent high/low voice breaking through the high pitch squeels. He was in heaven!

Mr. Rowemantic!

Awkward.....

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody! Well, 2010 is almost over. We've got Cassie back and some family visiting to boot! It's been a nice X-mas!

Nana and PopPop join the pic!

Cassie Graduates Thunderbird Youth Acadamy

It's been a long 6 months but Cassie finally comes home! We're all so proud of Cassie for whats she's accomplished at TYA. Her Nana and Pop Pop came out to watch her graduate and spend Christmas with us.

Unfortunately Cassie wasnt aloud to come out after graduation with her Class A uniform on, so this is the last picture we got of her dressed out. On stage she had just received her congratulations from the Speaker of the House of Oklahoma.

This is Nell Pierce, one of Cassies fellow graduates and good friend.
